“We feel extremely honored to be a part of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund’s ‘Night of Sweet Relief.’…. This hits home personally with us since we have dedicated practically our entire lives to the creation of music. Contributing to the well-being of the creators of this art form we cherish so much is the least we can all do. We think it’s incredible that over 300 band’s will be playing simultaneously across the U.S. for the same cause.”
What’s Your Sound?
“We describe our own efforts as forward-thinking and heavily layered. We like having lots of gear and colors to choose from. Making something really thick that you can get lost into is important…five sound guys have died working with us.”

Sweet Relief:
“The people at Sweet Relief have been friends, not only to us and local musicians, but the musical community at large. They’re a great example of how music connects people and can bring out the best in them. Sweet Relief gives those of us that choose to be a musician a little more peace of mind.”
What’s Your Sound?:
“We have a gritty southern rock sound with some blues influences. We’ve been working on a new EP this past summer and are looking forward to releasing it in the very near future. We’re going to play a never-before-heard song that we’re really excited about on Saturday, and we’re particularly excited to share the stage with some really great local talent.”
“Can’t Help Myself”
What’s Your Sound?:
“Paulie Pesh is a band with more instruments than you can imagine. Swooning music in the vein of Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens and Arcade Fire, Paulie Pesh makes use of each unique element present. With a brass/woodwind section which includes tuba and flute, a string section and a moving rhythm section, Paulie Pesh has been known to cram tiny stages in both LA & OC with their abundant presence. Though they are many, none are superfluous as they produce a lush but balanced sound that captivates the ear.”
“Shining Stars”
What’s Your Sound?:
“We’ve evolved a lot since our last album. We ditched the minor jazz influences for gritty desert soundscapes and let our noise-influences loose. It’s really allowed for our homemade instruments and experiments to mold the music more, and somehow made us adopt a slightly more ’60s vibe. Which is to say, we got louder.”
“Riverside”
Sweet Relief:
“We just released our first full-length album this summer and we’re really excited to share most of it at House of Blues in Anaheim for the first time as a full-band. We’re glad to be part of this ‘Night of Sweet Relief,’ which is going to be an amazing night of music at hundreds of venues nationwide.”
